Unlike its cheaper rival, Ryanair, EasyJet usually fly to major international airports rather than secondary airfields Kilometres from the city centre (I shall never forgive my company sending me to Stockholm on Ryanair - some things get personal - ed)

is Northern Europes leading airline, flying direct to more than fifty international destinations.

is an award winning low cost carrier based at Leeds-Bradford airport. They have won several awards including the Most Punctual Airline, Best Shorthaul UK Airline and the Best Scheduled British Airline
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
is now a subsidiary of Air France, however the airline continues to keep its KLM branding.
They are one of the most consistent performers in terms of punctuality and customer care and are a member of the Star Alliance
LOT Polish Airlines

is a low cost carrier based in the city of Oslo, unlike most low cost operators Norwegian seats are allocated on check-in so there are no on-board fights.

Their route network has grown rapidly to include destinations in the US, Caribbean, Far East, India, Australia and Africa.
Virgin may not be the cheapest, but if you want to enjoy the journey and can afford the extra try Virgin Atlantic
Wideroe
is the largest regional carrier serving the Nordic countries, it is owned by SAS Scandinavian airlines.
They are not a low cost carrier but they cover parts of Norway where other carriers do not reach and also operate from Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Newcastle in the UK
Wizz Air
is a Central European low cost carrier specialising in the Poland, Hungarian and Bulgarian markets, it flies from several UK airports including Bournemouth, Coventry, Doncaster, Durham Teesside, Liverpool and Luton
