The Real Hotel Group who own and operate the Purple Hotels Brand went into Administration on the 21st of January 2009.
Since that time the Hotels have been sold off and re-branded.
We have updated the individual hotel names, ownership and management details plus included active links to the latest reservation systems.
The following we believe to be the current status of the Purple Hotels that were owned or managed at the time of the company’s sad demise in January 2009,
plus we have included active links to enable reservations for these hotels to continue.

Real Hotels History
Re-Branded as Blueberry Hotels then to Hampton by Hilton and again to Holiday Inn Express
Three of the newer build Purple Hotels were sold to Osborn Securities and then re-branded from Purple Hotels to Blueberry Hotels until March 2010 when they re-branded to Hampton by Hilton.
In October 2011 Osborn Securities went into Administration and the hotels were put up for sale.
Under the new management of Kew Green Hotels

the hotels were re-branded again in November 2012, this time as Holiday Inn Express
Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Star City
Previously Hampton by Hilton Birmingham, Blueberry Hotel Birmingham Star City and Purple Hotel Birmingham Star City

Previously Purple Hotel Doncaster
The Park Inn Doncaster is situated in the south of Doncaster in the Lakeside area, a centre for developing business and commerce. Conveniently positioned just off the M18 and near the A1M, M180 and M62 motorways, this hotel offers a convenient location for accessing the city and its outskirts. Re-Branded as Days Inn from Welcome Break
The following Purple Hotels were re-branded from Sleep Inns in early 2008 and have very similar room specifications to the newer build Purple Hotels.
However, none of them has a bar or restaurant at the hotel.
The adjacent Services offer a selection of convenient places to eat in an air conditioned food court with additional facilities including newsagents, arcades and shops.
Days Inn Stevenage North

The Days Inn Stevenage North is located at Baldock Services, just off junction 10 of the A1M, a short drive from Baldock, Stotfold and Letchworth.
This easily accessible hotel is approximately 8 miles north of Stevenage, less than an hour from Stansted Airport, Central London is approximately 40 miles away and nearby venues include Knebworth House, Hatfield House and Bassingbourn Barracks.
Days Inn Cambridge

The Days Inn Cambridge is located at Cambridge Services, just off junction 28 of the A14 and near to the M11, just 6 miles north of Cambridge and 7 miles south of Huntingdon and Godmanchester. In a convenient and easily accessible location, the hotel is ideal for an overnight stopover or as a base for visiting the Cambridge and Huntingdon regions. The Hotel is on the opposite side of the A14 to Buckingway Business Park and is about 45 minutes from Stansted Airport

The Days Inn Peterborough is located at Peterborough Services, just off junction 17 of the A1M to the south of Peterborough.
The hotel is close to the Peterborough Showground.
